Roseland, NJ (PRWEB) August 13, 2012

Jared Lopez, new accounts specialist for Next Generation Trust Services, LLC, an administrator of self-directed retirement plans, will give two presentations in August and September regarding real estate investments within self-directed accounts.

On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, Lopez will present “Self-Directed Retirement Plans” at the monthly meeting of the Mid-Hudson Valley REIA (real estate investors association). Attendees will learn the basics about self-direction as a retirement wealth-building strategy, the types of real estate investments allowed in self-directed retirement accounts, investment restrictions, how real estate investors can receive loans from other people’s self-directed IRAs, and how to get started. The meeting will be held at Hampton Inn & Suites, 2361 South Road, Poughkeepsie, New York from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Lopez’s presentation will run one hour followed by a question-and-answer period. Registration and details are at https://www.mhv-reia.com.

In self-direction, the account holder makes all his/her own investment decisions; a third-party administrator such as Next Generation Trust Services must process the transactions for self-directed retirement plans and hold the assets. In addition to all types of residential and commercial real estate, these retirement accounts allow for a diverse array of investments such as precious metals, unsecured loans, private placements, hedge funds, commodities, and much more. Next Generation Trust Services reports that over half the transactions in its clients’ accounts are real estate or real-estate related investments.

Supporting and Educating Real Estate Investors

Real Estate Investors Associations provide networking, business-building, legislation leadership, and education. In general, these associations and investment clubs are chapters of the National Real Estate Investors Association and serve individual real estate investors and related businesses. Next Generation Trust Services has joined and supports nine REIAs in New York and New Jersey: Long Island Real Estate Investors Association, Real Estate Investors Association of New York (REIA NYC), Metropolitan REIA, New Jersey Real Estate Investors Club, Tri-State Mixer North Jersey, Tri-State Mixer Central Jersey, East Coast REIA, Greater Westchester REIA, and Mid-Hudson Valley Real Estate Investors Association. Most are members of the National REIA.

Lopez presents to REIAs throughout the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area year ‘round about self-directed retirement accounts and the prominent role of real estate assets within them. Next Generation Trust posts the organizations’ meeting schedules on its website, https://NextGenerationTrust.com, for those at which its representatives will attend.

On September 20, Lopez will present an informational webinar with Matthew Allen of North American Savings Bank, a lending institution that specializes in providing loans and mortgages to self-directed IRAs. Lopez will talk about real estate investments within self-directed retirement accounts; Allen, the author of “Leverage Your IRA: Maximize Your Profits with Real Estate,” will review the approval process for an IRA non-recourse loan and what the bank looks for before approval.
