At Next Generation, he is working with potential clients to understand their investing objectives, educate them on how self-direction may help them meet those goals, and ensure a smooth client acquisition process. He will be working closely with Next Generation’s marketing team.

As business development representative, Ritchie, of Bernardsville, will put his experience as a business development director for a software company, as well as his background in real estate investment and vendor relations to work at Next Generation. He will research target markets and develop leads, represent Next Generation at industry events and trade shows, and present how self-direction works to potential clients who may not yet have a full understanding of the retirement strategy. He will be collaborating with the marketing, account management and operations teams.

Even experianced investors are not always aware of the (self-directed) concept or the many nontraditional investments these plans allow including all types of real estate.

Moving Up on the IRA Expertise Ladder: Kyle Schickram is Now a Certified IRA Services Professional

Next Generation Services is proud to announce that effective June 1, 2018, Kyle Schickram has earned the designation of Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) from the American Banking Association (ABA). Kyle, who has served as a transaction specialist, was also promoted to assistant transaction manager in recognition of his hard work and accomplishments.

In addition to reviewing all transaction-related documents and handling client inquiries regarding self-directed investments, Kyle will now take on more responsibility for supervising and training staff members, serve as lead on special projects and special accounts, and assist Bill Wittler, transaction manager, in the overall management of the transaction department.

Kyle joined Next Generation in 2014 and has worked hard to help our clients get their transaction documentation fully vetted, and is always so helpful when clients call in with questions about self-directed investing in general, or about a specific type of alternative asset. Although he had already met the criterion set by the ABA of a minimum of four years of dedicated IRA operational or technical expertise, and could qualify for CISP based on that alone, he opted to take the association’s 12-week course; complete all the weekly quizzes, discussion questions and reading; and sit for the final exam, which comprises 150 questions covering:

As Kyle will tell you, there is a lot that goes into making sure all paperwork is in order that that every transaction is done correctly, according to IRS investing guidelines and other criteria.
